We started the Lease
for Life program to find loving homes for our retired donkeys. It is a win, win situation. We place our donkeys in wonderful
homes and the new owners get friendly, healthy donkeys for a reasonable adoption fee. The donkeys are up to date on health
and hoof care and we do our best to match each one’s personality to the new situation. The donkeys are not sold, but
leased to the new home for a one time negotiable fee which covers recent hoof trim, feed, new halter and lead. It does not
include health papers, coggins or transport costs. Health records and feeding instructions will be sent with donkeys. The
leasing home agrees to provide adequate shelter, food, health care and to provide updates a minimum of every six months. Jennets
leased are NOT to be used for breeding unless arrangements are made to that effect.We do have four jennets that we will consider
leasing with breeding rights,they must go in pairs. The new home also agrees to allow Braethorn to visit at any time.
If the new home ever can’t keep the donkeys, they are to be returned to Braethorn.
We have retired brood jennets and a gelding available through our Lease for Life program. We
may consider placing a few breeding quality jennets, approved homes only.

born and raised here. He is not much bigger than our yearlings! He is tiny but has a big heart.Howdy is now a companion to Jonass!!

We will be breeding select jennets to our beautiful Rusty for 2013
foals.We will offer a few breeding quality jennets(bred or open) for sale or lease.All have excellent conformation
and deep pedigrees.Please email for more info.

We are now taking reservations for our Spring 2012 kids.We
do not take deposits on unborn kids,but give the right of first refusal if a particular breeding meets your fancy.After the
kids are born,a deposit will hold until they go to their new home.I may have surgery in the spring and will give a substantial
discount for doe kids that go to their new homes before they are a month old.Also a discount for show/appraisal/milk
test herds.Email for details.No buck kids will be offered, wethers will be $50 each(free if going as a companion
to doe kid purchased) or a pair for $75.Does will be $300 each or two for $500.We do not charge extra for kids with blue
eyes.All will be bottle fed ,CAE prevention.Pairings are listed on the doe page.
We have started breeding beautiful tiny Serama bantam chickens,in both
Frizzle and smooth.We will have chicks available late spring.If we do not have what you are looking for,we can refer you to
another reputable local breeder.We will ship,weather permitting.
